A web based SaaS that aims to simplify processes required for multi-disciplinary market analysis and PMS reporting.
The successful commercialization of medical products necessitates a continues understanding of regulatory requirements. This requires meticulous data searching and aggregation across multiple sources of information. Post-Market Surveillance (PMS) has become a heavily emphasized requirement in the American and European medical device markets. Manufacturers are required to review up-to-date market information regarding product safety and effectiveness, including similar competitive devices on the market.
Kimimed is a scraper and aggregator of information from multiple sources, such as: regulatory portals, safety reporting databases, clinical trials databases, scientific publications, and product pages. By automating data aggregation in a domain where regulatory, product and market strategy are tightly intertwined, KimiMed aims to save hours of manual work thus reducing burden and cost, leaving functional teams and consultants more resources and time to focus on value-added tasks.
Transitioning Kimimed from a prototype MVP to a market-ready platform presented an exciting challenge. Central to this redesign was establishing a UI kit to ensure a consistent and scalable interface. Equally important was the refinement of key task flows to enhance the overall user experience. This case study explores our process and how we helped propelled the app into its next phase of growth.
The project commenced with an in-depth analysis of the existing MVP. This evaluation helped identify both strengths to build upon and areas requiring improvement, particularly in terms of the user experience and user interface.
Direct engagement with Kimimed’s user base provided valuable insights into the expectations and requirements for the app’s evolution. This process was instrumental in defining the scope and direction for enhancing the UX.
With a comprehensive understanding of the starting point and the desired outcomes, we outlined a vision for a market-ready Kimimed. This vision emphasized scalability, performance, and a user-centric design philosophy.
NoCodeRoi did an exceptional job re-designing the Kimi app, a breath of fresh air after several poor experiences with other agencies. Their innovative approach and technical expertise not only enhanced the app’s functionality but also significantly improved the user experience. Their team is super friendly, incredibly flexible, and fun to work with. The overall experience was very positive, making them highly recommendable for their collaborative spirit.
Founder, Kimimed
We used customer personas to gain a deeper understanding of Kimimed’s target audience by representing key goals, needs and pain points of different user segments. This understanding allowed us to empathize with users and tailor their strategies to better meet their needs.
We employed wireframes to rapidly iterate through conceptualizations, conducting multiple sessions with Kimimed's founder to refine our concepts and ensure alignment with user needs and requirements. Additionally, we put together a clickable prototype for user testing purposes.
Many of Kimimed's competitors gated their products behind paywalls, with the only alternative being scheduling a demo. Additionally, competitors had outdated visual designs commonly found in medical applications. Given that KimiMed offers a more affordable and accessible solution, including a free trial, we aimed to ensure its visual design and user interface reflected this.
A core feature of Kimimed's user experience is the ability to quickly and accurately find relevant information through the platform's search functionality. To achieve this, the API was precisely designed with advanced search capabilities.
To accommodate diverse user search behaviors and ensure relevant results, we implemented flexible query parameters. This approach allowed for complex queries, including multi-faceted filters and search across multiple attributes simultaneously.
By optimizing data indexing and implementing strategic caching mechanisms, we significantly reduced search response times. This ensured that users experienced swift and seamless search functionality, enhancing overall user satisfaction.
We developed adaptive search algorithms capable of understanding user intent. These algorithms were designed to learn from user interactions, continuously improving search accuracy and relevance over time.
The transformation of Kimimed from a prototype MVP to a production-grade app illustrates the power of strategic UX design. NoCodeROI’s approach, focused on user engagement and brand identity, has set a new benchmark for excellence in the app’s development journey.
